Wolff Vineyards - Edna Valley, San Luis Obispo

Wolff Vineyards is located minutes from downtown San Luis Obispo in the Edna Valley. The vineyard was planted to Chardonnay 30 years ago by one of the area's winegrowing pioneers, Andy MacGregor. The new owners, Jean-Pierre and Elke Wolff, renamed the vineyard in 1999 when they expanded the vineyard and added more varietals to diversify their own label. They were the first to plant Petite Sirah in the Edna Valley; a move considered risky because of its cool climate. Wolff’s gamble paid off as this location produces an extremely dark and extracted Petite Sirah huge in cassis, crushed black pepper and concentrated black fruit flavors with a balanced core of acidity.
