McGourty Vineyards - Paso Robles

Not far from Carmody McKnight on Chimney Rock Road is The McGourty Vineyard. This is the source of our Touriga and Souzao, which typically yields a mere 1-2 tons per acre. The vineyard traverses a few steep south-facing hillsides that gleam white with an abundance of calcium carbonate and fractured limestone. The bottom of each hill is littered with limestone boulders unearthed when the vineyard was graded for planting. Ken McGourty’s family history is firmly rooted here and his passion for farming this pristine property is evident.
